A Brief History
Brink's Ireland is an affiliate of the oldest (150 years of history) and largest security firm in the world with 48,000 employees operating in over 50 countries on 6 continents around the globe. It has continuously set the trend by which other security firms have followed. Brink's fashioned the first fully armoured car in 1927, unveiled air courier service in 1962, and acquired high-speed extruded plastic technology for coin wrapping in 1978. Brink's introduced state-of-the-art software systems that audit cash management in 1992, revolutionised the ATM servicing market in 1994, and developed CompuSafe™ - the computerised convenience store drop-safe in 1996.
